Eli Gay

I began performing at the age of eight while growing up in Warrenton, Virginia, where I got my start with a local community theatre group. I continued performing on stage throughout high school, and during that time, I also began playing guitar and taking lessons, eventually turning my love of performing toward live music.

When venues began reopening after the COVID pandemic, I started gigging throughout Northern Virginia, performing at bars, breweries, wineries, honky-tonks, and local events. Those early gigs gave me the opportunity to develop my sound, build a diverse setlist, and gain experience performing for a wide range of audiences and venues.

I continued performing while attending Holy Cross College in South Bend, Indiana, playing open mic nights, talent shows, campus traditions like Harvest Moon and Spring Jubilee, and other events throughout the area. While completing my master’s degree at the University of Notre Dame, I continued pursuing live music alongside my involvement in theatre.

After graduate school, I returned to my home state of Texas, where I now perform throughout the greater Houston and Galveston areas. My sets span classic rock, country, and a variety of music across genres and decades, allowing me to tailor each performance to the venue and audience. Whether I’m playing a waterfront venue, local bar, or private event, I aim to create a live music experience that fits the setting, engages the crowd, and gives people a reason to stay for one more song.
